Before your tan

  • Should I wax, get a mani/pedi or facial before or after my tan?  

You should always get your wax, mani/pedi or facial before your tan. Most of those procedures will fade or remove your tan. Let us be your last stop before your event/trip/etc.

  • How do I prepare my skin for the tan?

Shave and exfoliate with an exfoliating scrub or mitt the DAY BEFORE your tan (not the day of). This will rid the skin of dead skin cells enabling the tan to last longer. Please note, if you have had a recent sunburn (even if it didn’t peel) the color could take different in the areas of the burn!

  • Can I wear makeup or lotion to the tan appointment?

No, your skin should be completely clean of any lotion, makeup, perfumes, or deodorants. These can cause the tan to go on unevenly. Spraying over deodorant can cause green rings around the armpit.

  • What do I wear to the tan?

Our goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible, so you can wear as much or as little as you'd like. If you do choose to wear a swimsuit or undergarments make sure they are a dark color. Bring dark, loose-fit clothing and flip flops to wear afterwards. Tight clothing can rub the tan completely off in most areas. If you can, leave your bra off after the tan for at least one hour. If it is raining or snowing please wear loose fitting clothing that cover your tan. Something like a sweatsuit and ugg boots!

During your tan

  • Do you have several solution colors to choose from?

Yes! We have an array of solutions. When you get to your tan we will have a quick consultation on your preferences, then we will choose a color based on your personal preference and your skin type. YOU WILL NOT BE ORANGE AFTER A CMB TAN! The solutions we choose are designed to give you a beautiful bronze result.

  • How long does the appointment take?

A typical tan appointment only takes 15 minutes!

After Your Tan

  • Can I get wet after the spray tan?

No, try to avoid perspiring and getting wet as this may cause tan to streak until first shower.

  • Help! The tan went down the drain when I showered!

Don’t worry! You will see color washing off the first time you shower. This is just the bronzer color that was applied. Rinse until the water runs clear, then you may use body wash (no Dove, please) and hand if desired. Pat gently to dry, don’t rub!

  • How long will my spray tan last?

Your tan will last anywhere from 7-9 days depending on care. Moisturize twice a day with alcohol-free lotion and drink lots of water. We recommend Hempz or CereVe. Hydrated skin makes your tan last longer and slows down the process of natural skin exfoliation. Alcohol based products are drying to the skin and can cause the tan to fade quicker and unevenly. Also avoid any Dove Body Wash or Lotions as it will react with the DHA and make the tan fade unevenly.

The Fine Print

  • What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule we require a 24 hour notice out of courtesy to us and our clients. Please be aware that less than 24 hour notice and No call/No Shows will be assessed a cancellation fee.

  • What if there is bad weather?

Our 24 hour cancellation and no call/no show policy still remains even in inclement weather. If it is raining please bring an umbrella and clothes that cover you up but are still loose enough to not affect the tan, something like a sweatsuit and ugg boots.
